First December Weekend 2015

We had a lovely dinner at the Point restaurant in Rio Vista last night. It was the "change of watch" for Ox Bow Yacht Club and Matt was installed as Commodore. The meal and service were great! If you're ever in Rio Vista, give them a try. They have a small dock on the Sacramento River, or there is s large dock at Delta Marina right behind the restaurant.

Our webasto was blowing cold air this morning (after working fine all night). Luckily it turned out to be the easiest thing we've ever fixed on the boat. A quick breaker reset and we are back to being toasty warm.

Beautiful weekend at Devil's Isle.

We were "harbor master" this weekend, which meant we cleaned off the tables for dinner and took home the trash and sign in sheet. It was a gorgeous weekend and Hulk had a great time with the other dogs there.

Another beautiful day

Heading over to Devil's Isle. Saw three freighters already in just five minutes on the river. One passed right in front of us as we turned into the main river. We're turning off onto a freighter free slough now.

We're also trying out our new flybridge cushions from the Improvements catalog.

Fantastic Weekend

The is from mid May, just saw it did not get published when I tried at the time.

Ox Bow cruise to Stockton for a Stockton Ports baseball game.

Loving Delta Living

We've had some lovely Delta weekends lately. A ski boat weekend a couple weeks ago where we went through the beautiful Steamboat Slough and had a late lunch at Wimpys deck bar, then last weekend was an Ox Bow Yacht Club cruise to Delta Marina in Rio Vista. We had a lovely dinner (all 35 of us) at the Point restaurant. They did an amazing job with our large group.

Cruising in the Other Girl
Lunch at Wimpys
I'm always amazed how much faith people put in their electronics. They are not 100% accurate, I can assure you the boat was really in the blue and not the yellow.

Nice group at our cruise out. Popular gas dock, saw lots of LEOs fueling up for their patrols (right next to coast guard station Rio Vista plus I think the sheriff boat(s?) is kept here.

Great Saturday

Had a productive day. Got diesel, changed the oil and got Spirit onto a floating dock.
Tying the floating dock to the roof after picking up and installing the foam insulation that provides the flotation.
Using new electric oil extractor to remove the old oil
Fresh "black gold" or as Matt said, pouring in fresh dinosaurs.

I love my boat

Did I mention we have a dishwasher??

Life is good.

The dog thinks it's kind of hot though

Long weekend

This is from last November and I just realized it didn't publish. We definitely don't need blankets and sweatshirts today.

This yachting stuff is ok.

Hulk seems to be adjusting to life aboard.

It's the little things

One of the black plastic cup holders at the upper helm broke so we upgraded.

It's been awhile!

Wow just realized I haven't blogged in months! Not that we haven't used the boat!
Got a paddleboard rack and reversing kit for the windlass installed and taken the doggie on a trip or two!
